Clips from Folkestone Curators Available Online

Following the work led in Folkestone by Folkestone Pride, Screen Archive South East, have now received eight compilation videos made by volunteer curators in Folkestone.

The videos centre around three key themes which the curators thought important to telling the story of Folkestone’s queer community, these are Nature/Leisure, Family and Pride, parties and protest. The compilations feature clips gathered by the volunteers and assembled with the help of videographer Alex Davies. They capture both everyday experiences and pieces of footage, alongside showcasing events and parties from across the years.

Clips from the compilations can be found on our ‘films‘ page, with further versions soon to be available on the Screen Archive South East website.

We are still looking for footage from queer filmmakers and communities! Just like our Folkestone footage, we are keen to collect films about all aspects of LGBTQIA+ life in the region. If you think you might have something to donate you can find out more here.
